Donations Policy

We thank you for thinking of First Baptist Atlanta for your donations. Due to space constraints and the cost of processing materials, the Media Library is not able to accept donations of items that are not rare, unique, or relate to the ministries and history of First Baptist Atlanta. While very well intended, such gifts rarely fit our mission, or if they do, may be already in our collection.

If you believe you have rare or unique materials that fit our mission or relate to the history and mission of First Baptist Atlanta, please contact the librarian to discuss a possible donation.

So that your donations serve to build the Kingdom and honor God, please note the following guidelines:

Items:

  • Must be in good condition (i.e., no tears, marks, mold, highlighting, water damage or insects)
  • Should be fewer than three years old for the lending library
  • Must be in keeping with the mission and core beliefs of First Baptist Church of Atlanta
  • Are not accepted on a provisional or custodial basis

We do not accept cassettes or VHS tapes. Items that cannot be used will be disposed at the discretion of the librarian.

Memorials:

If you would like to honor a loved one with a memorial gift to the library or to commemorate a birthday or anniversary, please contact the librarian to discuss. We will offer suggestions for a purchase, affix a bookplate to the item, and send an acknowledgement.

Receipts:

If you would like a receipt, please ask. We will send a letter of acknowledgement only for items that are accepted for use in the Media Library. Please note that we cannot assign a monetary value to your donation of goods for tax purposes.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
