Items added to the library’s holdings are specifically selected by the librarian and the pastors to further the spiritual growth of our members and to provide a supplement to the teachings and beliefs of First Baptist Atlanta.
So that your donations serve to build the Kingdom and honor God, please note the following guidelines:
- must be in good or gently used condition (i.e., no marks, highlighting, tears, water damage, mold, or mildew)
- should be less than three years old
- must be in keeping with the mission and beliefs of First Baptist Atlanta
We do not accept VHS or audio cassettes. Bibles and gently used Sunday school curriculum (quarterlies) may be brought to the library at any time; they are usually sent to the mission field. Items received that are not appropriate for the library's collection will be disposed of in an appropriate manner.
Because we are a circulating library and not an archival library, we are unable to accept items on a provisional or custodial basis or that are more than 5 years old. Contact the librarian regarding items needed for the church archives.
To view a Wish List of resources that we would like to add, check at the library circulation desk. You are welcome to purchase any of these items for inclusion in the library. The list is updated periodically, therefore, please check for new additions. We ask that you not purchase other items for donation to the library without checking to see if a copy is already owned by the library.
If you would like to honor a loved one with a memorial gift to the library or to commemorate a birthday or anniversary, please purchase one of the books on the Wish List and bring it to the library. We will affix a bookplate and send an acknowledgement.
If you would like a receipt, please ask. We may give receipts only for items accepted for use in the FBA Media Library. Please note that we cannot assign a monetary value to your donation of goods for tax purposes.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
