Through the simple gift of a packed shoebox, Samaritan’s Purse will get the opportunity to share the Greatest Gift – Jesus Christ – with millions of children in more than 150 countries and territories. Pick up your shoebox at various locations around FBA. Our goal this year is 5,000 shoeboxes.

Volunteers Needed
Operation Christmas Child volunteers are needed October 14 through November 20. Strong men are needed to move boxes and help load the trucks November 12-19. Individuals, families and groups are welcome. Please note that children must be 12 years or older to participate.

You are invited to visit with Alan and Lynee Ward who serve with Wycliffe at the International Support Center in Dallas, Texas. Alan supports Bible translation into complex alphabets used around the world, and Lynee maintains a website of resources for missionary parents and teachers.

 

El Salvador Post-Trip Report

This team partnered with Living Water International, working with local drillers to drill a deep water well for a village that does not have a clean water source. While one group dug, the other taught proper hygiene and sanitation techniques, as well as Bible stories and songs to the children.

 

Italy Post-Trip Report

This team of seven talented singers shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the universal language of music as they ministered in Italy. They worked with Faith Promise missionaries, Robert and Lara Vitter, and the Salvation Army Church doing a concert and assisting at the Salvation Army soup kitchen. They shared the love and truth of God in concerts around the Turin Italy region and in many informal opportunities.

 

ESL and Citizenship Classes

ESL and Citizenship Classes

Wednesdays | 6:30-8 p.m. | The Overlook
ESL classes are for adults from any country. Students are broken out into one of three groups: Beginners, for those who speak little or no English; Intermediate, for those who know just enough English to get by; and Advanced, for those who want to improve their English including their pronunciation and accent.

Citizenship classes are for anyone on the path to United States citizenship. This class will explain the citizenship process and help prepare students for the English requirements of the citizenship test.

Faith Promise Principle and Commitment

The primary way our church directly supports world missions is through the Faith Promise. Your undesignated Faith Promise gifts are used to help support international, national and local missions through 92 individual career missionary families and various other mission projects.
